We do not collect any personal information. Here's what happens when you use our app:

Local Storage Only

All your preferences, settings, and notification choices are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third parties.

Third-Party API Calls

To provide prayer times and other features, our app makes requests to the following public APIs:

• api.aladhan.com - Fetches prayer times (sends city/country name only, no personal data)
• reminder.dev/api/daily - Fetches daily Islamic reminders (no parameters sent)
• api.openweathermap.org - Fetches weather information (sends city name only, no personal data)
• GitHub raw content - Fetches mosque data for Luton (no user data sent)

These API calls are inbound-only and do not transmit any personal or identifying information about you.

Notifications

Prayer time notifications are handled locally on your device using the Expo Notifications API. No notification data is transmitted to external servers. You have full control over notification settings and can disable them at any time.

How We Use Information

Since we don't collect personal data, there's nothing to use, share, or sell. The app functions entirely on your device:

• Prayer times are calculated based on publicly available location data (city/country)
• Notifications are generated locally on your device
• Jamaat times for 25+ mosques in Luton are fetched from public sources
• All preferences remain on your device

Data Storage and Security

All your data is stored locally on your device. We do not have servers that store user data, which means:

• Your preferences are private and never leave your device
• We cannot access your settings or usage patterns
• If you uninstall the app, all local data is removed
• There is no account system or user database

Third-Party Services

We do not use any analytics, tracking, or advertising services. This includes:

• No Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment, or similar analytics tools
• No Sentry, Crashlytics, or error tracking services
• No advertising SDKs or ad networks
• No social media tracking pixels

The only third-party services we use are the public APIs mentioned above, which provide prayer times, weather, and Islamic content. These services do not receive any personal information about you.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there's no data to access, correct, or delete from our servers. You have complete control over your local data:

• Modify notification preferences at any time in the app settings
• Clear all local data by uninstalling the app
• Use the app without creating an account or providing personal information

Children's Privacy

Luton Prayer Times is suitable for all ages. Since we do not collect any personal information from anyone, including children, there are no special considerations for children's privacy.
